PRIVACY POLICY FOR APPLICATION (ex art. 13 and 14 EU Regulation 679/2016)
Dear applicant,
With this document, we would like to inform you that Akamas S.p.A (hereinafter the "Data Controller") processes your personal data featured in your Curriculum Vitae, in order to verify whether your professional figure is in line with our needs and, therefore, to select personnel to be included in our staff. The EU Regulation 679/2016 - General Data Protection Regulation - in art. 13, states that the data subject (the person to whom the personal data refers) must be informed about certain aspects of the processing for which the data are intended. This document constitutes the information on the processing of your personal data carried out by the Data Controller.
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, failure to provide necessary data (or requesting its immediate erasure during the selection phase) will make it impossible for the Data Controller to evaluate your application and consider you for recruitment opportunities.

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING PURPOSES
Your personal data will be processed exclusively for the following purposes:
Evaluating your professional profile, skills, and qualifications to verify suitability for open positions or future recruitment needs within Akamas S.p.A.
Managing pre-contractual steps and selection activities (including interviews and tests).
Establishing and preparing the necessary documentation in the event of a positive selection outcome and job offer.
PROCESSING METHODS
The processing shall take place in electronic form and shall be carried out in such a way as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data. The methodologies applied ensure that access is only allowed to authorized personnel or to external subjects specifically appointed Data Processors. Personal data may also be processed on paper. In this case, the Data Controller allows access to data only to authorized parties, and the storage of documents will ensure their security.
MANDATORY OR OPTIONAL NATURE OF DATA PROVISION
The provision of data is voluntary and optional.
PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
The personal data processed are those voluntarily provided by you within your Curriculum Vitae, cover letter, or during selection interviews. These may include:
Common Personal Data: Identification and contact details (e.g., name, address, tax code, phone number, e-mail address), professional background, educational qualifications, employment history, and links to professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn).
Special Categories of Personal Data (Art. 9 GDPR): Data revealing health status (e.g., belonging to protected categories pursuant to Italian Law 68/99), trade union membership, or political opinions, if spontaneously disclosed in your CV.
LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
The legal basis of the processing is the performance of pre-contractual activities, as well as the fulfilment of legal obligations.
DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Your personal data are therefore kept for the time necessary to comply with the purposes set out in this document, and in any case for a period not exceeding 24 months from the date of delivery/transmission of the curriculum.
Upon expiration of this period, your personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymized, unless you explicitly renew your consent for further retention.
DATA RECIPIENTS
Your personal data, for the purposes strictly instrumental to the evaluation of your application, may be communicated to other parties outside the headquarters of the Data Controller (independent Data Controllers or Data Processors), specifically:
Affiliated Companies, for accounting and administrative purposes;
External consultants;
Service companies (including IT) are entrusted with specific management related to contractual obligations.
Your personal data will not be disseminated to the public.
TERRITORIAL SCOPE OF PROCESSING
Personal data are processed at the Data Controller’s registered office and in any other place where the parties involved in the processing are located. Should the transfer of data to non-EU countries be necessary, this will take place in compliance with Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, relying on adequacy decisions (Art. 45 GDPR) or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR).

In particular, you may request access to personal data concerning you, its correction or cancellation, or you may request limitation of processing and may object to processing. You will also have the right to data portability, and if you wish to make a complaint, you can also submit it to the Personal Data Protection Authority.
