About the role
We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer with strong technical expertise in cloud-native architectures to work closely with our enterprise customers and help them maximize the value of Akamas solutions.
You will combine technical expertise with business insight, driving customers' adoption of our platform, optimizing their processes, and identifying growth opportunities.
Akamas is a remote-first company, giving you the flexibility to work from wherever you perform best. At the same time, we believe that some moments are best shared in person, that’s why we encourage presence in our Milan office during onboarding and for specific business needs or team collaborations.
What you will do
- Drive customers' onboarding, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption.
- Deliver workshops, product training, and continuous enablement sessions to help customer teams use Akamas effectively.
- Provide best practices and integration strategies.
- Define customer objectives, monitor progress, and report results (e.g. quarterly business reviews).
- Manage and resolve support requests and technical escalations, ensuring customer issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
- Lead and execute solution adoption projects, ensuring smooth adoption and value delivery.
- Build strong relationships with customer engineering and development teams, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Collect customer feedback and work closely with the product team to contribute to the continuous improvement of Akamas solutions.
- Share optimization best practices and success stories, both internally and at global conferences, helping to spread the impact of Akamas across the community.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles (Customer Success Engineer, Solution Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architectures, cloud-native, and Kubernetes ones.
- Familiarity with observability solutions (such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, ...)
- Strong scripting/automation skills (Bash, Python).
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to identify opportunities for customer growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have
- Background in performance engineering.
- Experience in tuning complex IT Stacks (based on Java, Node.js, Go, ..).
- Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, Google, etc.).
- Experience contributing to open-source projects or active involvement in OSS communities.
