About the role 
We are looking for a Junior or Mid-level Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the core back-end systems that power the automated optimization of modern applications. You’ll work on a highly innovative platform that uses AI to automate observability, testing, and tuning of software stacks.

You’ll collaborate with a talented and experienced engineering team to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs. This role is a great opportunity to grow your skills in software development, DevOps practices, and performance engineering, while working closely with Product Managers and end users.

What you bring
As a Junior/Mid Software Engineer, you will:

• Contribute to the development of our product by writing code that is easy to test, ship and maintain.
• Participate in code reviews to share and establish coding practices.
• Participate in team rituals such as daily stand-ups, planning, demos, and retrospectives
• Work with product and engineering teams to refine feature requirements and design.
• Support testing and deployment of features using modern CI/CD tools
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate design choices and evolutions with scalability, reliability, and security in mind

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of experience in backend or full-stack development (internships included)
• Passion in building impactful applications at scale applying state of the art code practices and tools
• Experience with Java programming language
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices
• Interest in working with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to work in a collaborative team environment
• Curiosity and willingness to learn about cloud technologies, performance engineering, and DevOps practices

Nice to Have (but not required):

• Experience with Spring framework and non relational databases such as Elasticsearch
• Experience with python programming language
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools
• Interest in performance tuning and/or machine learning concepts
